Two win bag in August 2008 prize draw

The winners in the last round of the free monthly prize draw for one of our bags - canvas messenger bag or rucksack bag - are Clair Brown and Jennet O'Donnel. Jennet won for choosing what subsequently proved to be the most popular bag in the round. Clair just had the luck of the draw: she was the 230th entry and that was the number generated by the random number generator at Research Randomizer.

There were no losers; all entrants received details of a discount voucher worth 20% off any of the bags on the site.

Colour Clash

Maxim's September issue has our Clash canvas messenger Bag in a head to head with W2's Pantone Palette Bag. TinTac appears to have come out on top. And black aside, it comes in just as many colours.

"Top Trend... Messenger Bags - If you want to be noticed as you speed away from the red lights, you'll need a flash messenger bag. Music fans should look out for TinTac's concert range, featuring the likes of Babyshambles and The Clash. But if you're after a bit more colour then W2's Pantone palette bag is the one for you." Our messenger bags make the Front pages

The inside pages of the September edition of Front magazine to be precise. The Hoxton Concert Collection shares the limelight with snippets from Altamont Apparel, a collaboration between Fred Perry and British designers & Son, and Urban Industry's veggie sneakers. Wholesome company.

"Bag boys TinTac have teamed up with White Label to make a range of bags that you can customise with some proper iconic concert tickets, including the likes of Zeppelin, The Clash and some kick-ass artwork from Joy Division."

I have had my Hoxton bag now for a couple of months and I really like it. Its tough, looks good and holds my files and laptop with ease. Having said that for the follow up 'Hoxton mark 2' l would suggest you improve the magnetic fastner, (not strong enough)or perhaps change it for velcro? Also I would think about adding a padded shoulder strap.

Nice and strong - must have had it since you launched them and I don't look after my stuff but it's stood the test of time amazingly well :) The fastener is a bit of a waste of time - the material is heavy enough to stay closed on its own. Perhaps a belt buckle fastener if any for more secure closure. Please no plastic clips or noisy fluff gathering velcro. But as I say, it doesn't need one. Overall a spendid product.

Urban rucksack on the right track with Virgin Trains

The July-September 08 edition of Virgin Trains Hotline magazine features Lewis Hamilton on the cover and inside - the TinTac Bloomsbury (in Virgin red, of course). The description of this three in one bag (tote/shoulder bag/rucksack) is spot on. Even the fact that it's weatherproof and has loads of pockets for all your gadgets and portable devices is on the right lines. But where the description goes slightly off the rails is when it says it's made of canvas. Instead, it's a heavy duty man-made weave with rip-stop lining. They must have been confusing it with the cotton canvas Hoxton - our messenger style shoulder bag.

Just for the record, it's not just men that buy our bags.

The Independent on Saturday, June 28th picked up on TinTac and included the following snippet:

"For music-loving men, this is the perfect bag. Made by TinTac, the Bloomsbury is a modern take on the original DJ bag designed by John Wright, founder of the legendary music store City Sounds, nearly 30 years ago. Prices start from £60"
