Why didn't I get an email telling me the outcome of the draw?

We haven't had that question from anybody yet but we're expecting it at some point. For some inexplicable reason a few regular participants in the draw have opted out of receiving any emails from us. But as that is the only way we alert all participants — winners or losers — it means we can't let them know how they've done. They may as well not have bothered to enter at all.

By the same token, other time wasters spoil their chances by entering multiple times in the same round. And this in spite of our clear statement that it's "one entry per person, per round". It's not just their own time they're wasting either. It takes us a lot of time to weed out the multiple entrants and otherwise spoiled entries before the draw takes place.

While we remove multiple entrants from the draw, we still send them a results email (assuming they haven't opted out, of course). Otherwise our reminder of 'one entry per person' would simply be received by those entrants who already honour that request. And what we want, of course, is to impress on everyone that we do everything we can to make sure that their one entry counts and isn't being diluted by multiple entries from other participants.

September winners in our messenger bag prizedraw

Julie Davies from Bangor and Eileen Hobson from Branksome near Bournemouth are this month's winners. Julie was the 255th person to enter the round and 255 was the random number that came up in the draw. Eileen won by dint of being the first to choose the most popular bag choice in the round. The early worm catches the bag - Eileen will probably be the only person that understands that reference.

Two win bag in August 2008 prize draw

The winners in the last round of the free monthly prize draw for one of our bags - canvas messenger bag or rucksack bag - are Clair Brown and Jennet O'Donnel. Jennet won for choosing what subsequently proved to be the most popular bag in the round. Clair just had the luck of the draw: she was the 230th entry and that was the number generated by the random number generator at Research Randomizer.

There were no losers; all entrants received details of a discount voucher worth 20% off any of the bags on the site.

Colour Clash

Maxim's September issue has our Clash canvas messenger Bag in a head to head with W2's Pantone Palette Bag. TinTac appears to have come out on top. And black aside, it comes in just as many colours.

Urban rucksack on the right track with Virgin Trains

The July-September 08 edition of Virgin Trains Hotline magazine features Lewis Hamilton on the cover and inside - the TinTac Bloomsbury (in Virgin red, of course). The description of this three in one bag (tote/shoulder bag/rucksack) is spot on. Even the fact that it's weatherproof and has loads of pockets for all your gadgets and portable devices is on the right lines. But where the description goes slightly off the rails is when it says it's made of canvas. Instead, it's a heavy duty man-made weave with rip-stop lining. They must have been confusing it with the cotton canvas Hoxton - our messenger style shoulder bag.

Just for the record, it's not just men that buy our bags.

Great to see Tin Tac featured in this month's RWD even if the name has been scrambled - Tic Tan? However you spell it, it's a great bag for all your nick-nacks.

This short piece appeared in this month's Menswear picking up on our recently launched Concert Collection range:

Bags brand TinTac has launched a line of messenger bags with tickets of famous concerts printed on them, which are set to be the bags of choice at all the music festivals this summer.

Tickets include classics such as The Rolling Stones at Earls Court Arena in 1976 and Stone Roses famous Spike Island gig. The bags are the brainchild of former record shop owner John Wright and his friend and partner Laurence Floyd. 0208 397 2662
